Two
highly visible correspondents and editorial writers at Egypt’s powerful “ AL
AHRAM” daily newspaper added more fuel to the heat and fire of the plagiarism
controversy. They wanted us to know that they are diligently keeping an
up-to-date file on all well-known American (men and women) reporters, writers
and biographers who committed plagiarism. And more so, on American writers, historians and
media members who wrote or co-wrote (or have been ghost writers) Presidential
biographies and memoirs. They intend to make their findings public as soon as

Journal article added this interesting note: "Coming soon: List of American TV
reporters who will be in danger and hurt badly if they travel abroad and
precisely to France and the Middle East. List or lists were acquired
confidentially in Europe. In fact, they were sent to us anonymously. We take
this matter very seriously. We shall publish very shortly some of those
letters and lists in their entirety There is currently only one single
American television broadcaster still working in Paris, Jim Bittermann at CNN.
All the three major American TV networks which previously operated in Paris
closed their bureaus. The reasons are obvious. Many of their reporters felt
they were persona non grata in France. It was a wrong assumption on their
part, nevertheless, they moved from Paris to London.
