BREAK 'N ENTER

Ms. Tremblay's "Break' n Enter" CD includes a refreshing bouquet of songs and ballades which will elevate you to a higher state of mind, and transport you to delightfully romantic and exotic vanished times of Le Vieux Paris and the golden era of early Broadway and Hollywood. The CD is lively, evocative and powerfully delivered through the tenderness, beauty and dominance of the voice of this superb artist. Also, it is a clever collection of songs and ballads which belong to various epochs and dear moments in our lives. It is like a rainbow awakening over 42nd street in New York City and lazily flirting with charm and grace on sidewalk cafes, boites and bubbly glasses of champagnes under the bridges of Paris and the blue sky of les Champs Elysees. My favorite songs as recorded on this CD are Duke Ellington's "Caravan", " Le jazz et la java", "Couleurs Cafe" originally recorded by my dear friend, Serge Gainsbourg and particularly the 1937 "J'attendrai" (J'attendrai ton retour, Le temps passe et court, En battant tristement, Dans mon coeur si lourd, Et pourtant, j'attendrai Ton retour...), lyrics by Louis Poterat and N. Rastelli. Music by Dino Oliveri. The song was originally recorded by Olivieri-Poterat in 1938 in Paris. This international hit was sang by famous artists of the era like Rina Ketty, Tino Rossi, Jean Sablon, and Dalida in 1975. But, Ms Tremblay brought more joy and charm to the structure of the song. She delivered this ballad with utmost truthful originality and evocative tenderness. "Break' n Enter" is a musical treasure. Five star rating. If you are a lover of the music of nostalgic eras, then, you should acquire a copy of this magnificent CD.
