KERRY SCORES BIG TIME!

Millions watched the two men joust for votes
Dear Marjorie: I was undecided
and not sure about John Kerry. Now, I am. He was clear and
determined in his debate. Bush was vague and on the defensive. And
as usual, he was covering up his mistakes. He is arrogant and
stubborn. We as Americans we deserve better. We witnessed
history. Just imagine four more years of Bush reign. It would be a
catastrophe. Anne Richard explained it well. She said :" Bush has no
clue how to get out of Iraq. He fell short. He did not connect
with the American People." The so-called flip flopper was more
convincing. Bush said :I know how the world works". He does not.
Kerry appeared relaxed and skilful. Anne Richard said:" My
Gosh, Bush does not know how to communicate with world's leaders." I
am for Kerry, now. What do you thin? Jeremy Houston, Austin,
Texas, USA
Jeremy, President Bush said: "The
only thing consistent about my opponent's position is that he's been
inconsistent. He changes positions. And you cannot change positions
in this war on terror if you expect to win." Senator Kerry
said: "This president has made, I regret to say, a colossal error of
judgment, and judgment is what we look for in the president of the
United States of America." President
Bush said he was confident of poll victory because he had shown the
American people he knew how to lead. Senator Kerry said US security
depended on strong alliances, which President Bush had left in
tatters around the world. Senator Kerry said the war in Iraq
had been a diversion that had no links with the 11 September
attacks, adding the war was a "colossal error of judgment" and that
many top military figures agreed. Senator Kerry said President
Bush had not exhausted all other means of dealing with Saddam
Hussein before going to war. He said the US should have kept its
focus on Afghanistan where the real war against terror was focused.
President Bush rejected Senator Kerry's accusation that invading
Iraq had been the wrong priority, arguing that he had to deal with
both Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. So, what did we learn from
this debate? Not much, except that Senator Kerry is not really a
flip flopper. Ann Richard commented: "This debate made a big
difference. Kerry will go after the terrorists. He was very
decisive." So? What message did we get from both men? Not clear.
Republicans are still republicans and democrats are still democrats
and we are caught between. And politicians will always be
politicians.-Marjorie

Benigni's Holocaust comedy was
controversial but won a clutch of awards.
ANOTHER MOVIE-COMEDY ABOUT BUSH
Hi Marge: Expect more
criticism from the Bush's clan when they will see Benigni's new film
about Iraq. They are going to raise hell, as they did with Moore.
Roberto Benigni is to make a film about the Iraq war and Bush's
charade. Benigni plays the part of a poet
who is in Iraq by chance and is caught up in the events. "War
naturally is the background of the film and my character is directly
involved in it. This poet ends up in Iraq by pure chance," Benigni
told Italian Rai radio. I met with Mr. Benigni in Roma. He is
credible. Lisa Fortini, Venice, Italy.
A CHILD PRODIGY

Marla
Olmstead from Binghamton, Upper New York State.
Hello Marge: Bring it to the world, let the world know about
this little genius from my hometown Binghamton, New York. Her name
is Marla Olmstead. Her art has been
compared by critics to Jackson Pollock and Wassily
Kandinsky. And she is only 4 year old. She has already sold about 25
paintings, and made over $40,000. Now, this is something! I took the
liberty to send you prints of her work. This little girl is
something else. I think you should write an article about her. You
will make us so happy here in Binghampton. Thank you Marge. You know
what to do. Brian Cooper, Binghamton, New York, USA.
I will publish her work. You bet! Thank you for the tip.

THEY DID NOT BELIEVE ME
Hey Marge; Are you ready for this? Four months
ago, I contacted 4 dealers in New York and told them I have in my
possession a rare treasure from the 14th century. Typically and as
expected, they laughed at me because I am nobody. I made it clear to
them that I have a stolen page from a manuscript written in 1400
known as "Les Heures de Sforza". Previously, this
page was a part of the art collection of Mr. John Malcolm a noted
Scottish art collector. As a middle man, I asked only $20.000 for
this rare treasure but they turned me down. They told me that nobody
is interested in stuff like this. The original page was hidden for
centuries in Italy and was part of the estate of the niece of the
Duke of Milan, Princess Margaret of Austria. Now, and thanks to
British scholars, the page was recently sold in London for $300.000.
This should tell you a lot about New York's art dealers. They are
vain and silly. Emanuel Bruno, Kent, United Kingdom

"Les Heures de Sforza" which was
commissioned in 1490.
